Well that is a provably untrue statement. Take a look at this story in Silicon Valley Business Journal where a grinning Mr. Moore waxes on about green building practices and the new Moore Foundation HQ. Or much more recently how about the Bullis Charter School 10th year anniversary video. You can't seriously believe that Mr. Moore had a professional video team in his office recording his scripted words about the BCS program thinking that this video would never be shown to the public.
But even "moore" to the point (heh), here is a man who has been chair of a public school for a decade. Someone who makes regular statements to parents, community and press about the school. At the time this was written, there are 175 Google-indexed articles just on the Los Altos Town Crier site referring to Mr. Moore. This is not the way one keeps a low profile.
And anyone with even the most rudimentary internet search skills can dig up all sorts of publicly available information about him like his home address and phone number, his place of work, his the public board meetings he runs, the details and value of his home, and yes even some of his political donations.
If you're really that worried about kidnapping or other threats to your personal safety, Mr. Moore, you can do a heck of a lot better than this at keeping a low profile.
