There is an article in today's Palo Alto Daily Post about a few of the posts on this blog. One was about a satirical Family Guy clip and the other 2 quoted an article in Psychology Today on the nature of homophobia. The latter was of particular interest to me as my best friend—who I have known since college—is gay.
I've posted on a wide variety of topics over the years. The overarching theme has been things that I found interesting and thought-provoking that I thought others would also be interested in. These posts were no different. But I certainly don't want a small thing like this to detract from the larger issues, so I decided to take down the posts.
It is interesting that the author of the article was so interested in this one angle that he tracked me down and confronted me about it just before I participated in the League of Women Voters forum last night. Yet he didn't even bother to stay to hear what I had to say on the issues of education in Santa Clara County.
