The personal attacks by the Daily Post continue. What that tells me is that there are some influential charter school proponents who are really concerned that I might actually win this election, and they aren't afraid to show the whole world to what extent they will go to ensure that doesn't happen.
If anyone chooses to believe the negatively biased "reporting" of a third rate tabloid, so be it. It wasn't easy for me to put myself out there and run for public office, and it certainly hasn't gotten any easier. But I did it because I so strongly believe that much can be done to truly improve educational outcomes for all of the children in Santa Clara County. And I don't see that happening if the county board continues on their current trajectory.
It is true I chose not to have children, but I love the children who are in my life and I completely respect those who have chosen to have children. It is the most difficult and important thing people can do in their lives. But parents cannot do it alone. I would appreciate the opportunity to help ensure that all children get the best public education possible.
