This is a pretty useful tool for doing UI mockups. You can either copy the image, or if you're live on the web, hot link to it. Plus the developer used my suggestion of a multiplication sign rather than an X for the dimensions.
My wife and I let our Costco membership go this year, and we couldn't be happier. It turns out neither of us ever wanted to go. I'm skeptical of the cost savings unless you're feeding a family of 8. But even if it is cheaper, there is a cost.
Start with the whole membership thing. It costs money to even shop at the store. They check your card on the way in. They scan it at the checkout. And once, I even had to abandon a cart full of goods because my membership had expired and they wouldn't let me pay for it.
And of course coupled with that are the receipt checkers at the door, ostensibly preventing "loss", but really just making you feel like a criminal and slowing things down. This isn't a pawn shop in East LA, but this sure makes it feel that way.
And finally the lines. The horrible, awful, despicable lines. It's a "choose your own misfortune" situation. No matter which line you choose, you won't be happy. And it's a 15 minute minimum wait most times of the day. If they would only institute a single line and have the next person go to the next available cashier, it would massively improve the mood of customers leaving the store. Heck, I might even be more receptive to the receipt Nazi.
Thankfully, my in-laws still have a membership, so for those few items we do want from Costco, we can place an order with them. But if I never set foot in another Costco in my life, that will be just fine with me.
